Welcome to our page dedicated to providing invaluable resources for powerlifting coaches! Whether you're a seasoned professional or just starting out, we've curated a collection of materials to help you prepare your team for the powerlifting season.
Please note - schools are allowed one team. All competitors who attend a school must train and lift for the team that is locally recognized by the school.
WHSPA Membership
Annual membership to the WHSPA is $25.
This also includes the SafeSport link for the required course which must be completed by all coaches once.
In addition, all coaches are required to acknowledge the code of conduct each year.
This must be completed in order to coach at the State Meet.

Failure Lights/Cards
When a no lift light (red light) has been activated and appears, a colored failure light system will be activated and appear (or colored failure card(s)/paddle(s) raised) to make known the reason(s) why the lift has failed.
The colors of the failure lights/cards are as follows:
WHSPA State Meet Qualifying Totals
New for the 2023-2024 Season
The WHSPA has added a Female 220 lb class! The female weight classes are now: 97, 105, 114, 123, 132, 148, 165, 181, 198, 220, 242, 242+
Geared lifters must attain the appropriate total to qualify for state as well as be in the top 14 in their weight class.
Proof of Good Standing
Athletes need to be in good academic standing to participate in both Regional and State meets. See the buttons below for access to the Proof of Good Standing forms.
